How does Perfectha work?
Most facial disparities come as a result of age. With time, the hyaluronic acid responsible for maintaining skin hydration and volume wears out, leading to the skin thinning and losing its elasticity. As a result, folds, furrows, and expression lines begin to appear.
Perfectha is a line of dermal fillers that aims to correct these facial inconsistencies. The hyaluronic acid binds to moisture under the skin, which helps the gel swell. In turn, it restores volume as well as smooths out wrinkles.
Depending on the filler formulation, the hyaluronic breaks down slowly with time and in about 6–18 months, there will be no trace of the substance in the individual’s body. Therefore, to maintain the effects of treatment, the patient needs to undergo touch-up treatments as needed.
Prior to treatment with Perfectha, patients should not to consume alcohol or blood thinners, such as aspirin, in order to minimize the possibility of bleeding at the injected areas. There is usually no need for an allergy test before administration, as Perfectha hyaluronic acid is of non-animal origin.
Treatment with Perfectha filler injections must be carried out by a trained medical personnel. After a consultation session with the patient, mark out all points of injection. Sterilize site(s) of injection with an appropriate disinfectant. In some cases, a local anesthetic (either topical or via injection) can by applied for the patient’s comfort. Proceed with injection of filler to the predetermined sites, and assess the effects to avoid overcorrection. Afterwards, your patient may ease any discomfort or swelling by applying an ice pack to the site of injection. Overall, the procedure should take no more than 30 minutes.
How long does Perfectha last?
The effects of a Perfectha treatment are long lasting, but not permanent. The durability of treatment depends partially on the product used. Results of treatment with Complement and/or Fine Lines typically last approximately 4–6 months. Derm treatment has a durability of 6–12 months. Deep can last for 8–12 months. As well, Subskin can maintain its effects for up to 18 months.
The Perfectha range is manufactured to international safety standards and is considered very safe. The hyaluronic acid in Perfectha products is non-animal derived, lessening the possibility of hypersensitivity reactions.
There are mild, temporary side effects that will occur at the treated site. These usually resolve in about a week. They include:
- Tenderness and
Injection into more tender areas, such as the lips, may cause slightly more pain and swelling for a longer period. However, in case any of the side effects persists for a longer time, the patient should contact you for an immediate check-up.
Patients can immediately resume their daily activities following a Perfectha treatment. However, patients should avoid sun exposure and extreme temperatures for a week after treatment.
Cost of Perfectha
A Perfectha injection costs an average of $525; this will vary by region, doctor and treatment type.
