How does Filorga work?
Filorga fillers are hyaluronic acid-based, which help hydrate and revitalize the skin. As well, depending on the concentration, these fillers work to restore volume and enhance facial features, ultimately giving your client a youthful appearance. Filorga’s cosmetic injectables aim to boost the skin’s supporting fibers and optimize skin quality.
Filorga skincare products are highly concentrated to optimize the benefits. These products can be used individually or in combination to create a high-performance skincare routine for your client. These products are specially formulated to target various skin issues, including anti-aging and hydration.
Filorga skincare products can be safely used at home by your client, and are divided into 3 main categories: optimized serums, vectorized anti-aging treatments, and complementary treatments.
The serums work to target your patient’s specific skin needs. Due to the thin texture, these serums can be used together.
The anti-aging treatments are rich in hyaluronic acid, which work to hydrate and allow maximum absorption of other products.
The complementary treatments are used to complement other treatments to enhance their effectiveness.
Filorga is not recommended to individuals with a past history of severe allergic reaction or those with a hypersensitivity to any of the product’s components.
Filorga fillers are not recommended for use in patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Patients should avoid makeup for 12 hours after dermal filler treatments.
Review the product’s respective leaflet for relevant precautions and contraindications.
Some Filorga skincare products can be used by your patient at home. Discuss proper usage instructions with them.
For Filorga dermal fillers and peels, discuss the expected results and any possible side effects prior to treatment. Follow the usage instructions for the product you are using. Do not administer Filorga dermal fillers or peels unless you are a licensed and trained medical professional. Some of the Filorga dermal filler line is available with lidocaine to help reduce discomfort during the treatment. Your patient may need to avoid makeup, extreme temperatures, or certain medications before and after treatment. Your patient may also need to apply sunscreen after treatment to protect the skin.
How long does Filorga last?
The duration of the effects will vary by product. As well, this can be affected by your patient’s age, skin condition, and lifestyle. On average, the fillers may last up to 6 months or longer.
With the cosmetic injectables, the patient might experience mild reactions such as redness, swelling, itchiness, and bruising. These side effects generally subside in less than a week. Advise your patient of appropriate aftercare methods to help reduce the severity and duration of these reactions.
Filorga products are generally well tolerated; however, some products cannot be used in some individuals. Do not inject Filorga fillers into bones, tendons, ligaments, muscles, or blood vessels.
Side effects may include:
- Nodules or indurations at the site of injection;
- Minimal bleeding;
- Discoloration at the injection site;
- Sun sensitivity;
- Skin irritation.
Generally, the patient should be able to return to their regular routine after treatment. Most side effects should resolve themselves within a week.
