You can use the retro-injection technique, which is the preferred method, the serial puncture technique, or a combination of the two. While you are injecting the gel, pull the needle backwards while directing the bevel upwards, and be sure to stop injecting the product before you remove the needle to prevent overflow. Finally, gently massage the area to make sure the hyaluronic acid gel is in the correct position. You should not inject more than 30ml in 1 session or more than 60ml in 1 year. Throughout the injection procedure, follow proper aseptic guidelines.

Side effects can include pain, swelling, tenderness, hematoma, itching, and erythema at the injection site. It may also result in the formulation of nodules, indurations, and granulomas, as well as increased sensitivity. Side effects may appear immediately or up to 1 month after treatment.
