Reconstitution involves combining sterile, preservative-free saline with the powdered product to prepare injectable doses:
- 50-unit vial: Add 1.25 mL saline for 4 Units per 0.1 mL.
- 100-unit vial: Add 2.5 mL saline for the same concentration.
Injectable solution must be used within 24 hours of reconstitution and stored at 2–8°C.

BOTOX® COSMETIC 100u Dosing for Different Indications
Recommended dosage per indication:
- Glabellar lines: 20 Units (0.5 mL).
- Forehead and glabellar lines: 40 Units (1 mL).
- Lateral canthal lines: 24 Units (0.6 mL).
- Platysma bands: 26–36 Units depending on severity.
The maximum cumulative dose should not exceed 100 Units per session. Repeat treatments should be spaced at least 12 weeks apart.

Common side effects:
- Localized pain, swelling, or bruising at injection sites.
- Headache: Reported in 9% of patients.
- Ptosis (eyelid drooping): Observed in 3% of patients for glabellar lines.
