Information About Surgiderm Products

What makes a good candidate?

Patients with wrinkles and/or lines, facial volume loss, dull, and dry skin can consider treatment with Surgiderm as a viable option. Surgiderm is indicated for men and women above the age of 18. This treatment is not recommended for individuals who have hypersensitivity or allergy towards hyaluronic acid, or for pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Surgiderm is also contraindicated in:

  • Areas with inflammation or infection;
  • Patients with blood clotting disorders;
  • Patients using anticoagulants;
  • Areas recently treated with another filler brand.

Areas treated with Surgiderm

  1. Face – 18, 24XP, 30, and 30XP treat wrinkles of various severity, from superficial lines to the deep-set wrinkles, such as laugh lines and smoker’s lines. As well, Surgilift Plus helps to hydrate facial skin.
  2. Facial volume loss – Correct sunken cheeks or eyes by restoring volume to the area with 30 or 30XP.
  3. Lips – Use Surgilips to enhance the vermilion border, increase the volume of the lips, and to correct perioral lines.
  4. Neck and Decollete – Replace lost moisture to restore hydration and improve skin tone with Surgilift Plus.

How does Surgiderm work?

With age, the patient’s skin loses hyaluronic acid. Because the naturally occuring hyaluronic acid is responsible for hydration, nutrient transport, and dermal tissue volume, the skin starts to form wrinkles and sags without it. To correct this, Surgiderm replaces the lost hyaluronic acid, which increases the moisture levels of the skin. This ensures that your patient’s skin is plumped up, giving a smoother and more youthful appearance.

Treatment details

For proper product administration, examine the patient’s skin for any infections or inflammation around the injection site. Collect the medical history, including any recent cosmetic procedures that your patient may have had before the administration of Surgiderm.

Before the injection, clean the skin injection site to clear off any makeup and disinfect the area. If the patient’s requests a local anesthesia, you can administer it via injection or a topical cream and allow it to take effect.

Inject the filler using appropriate injection techniques according to the information pamphlet.

Gently massage the site of injection to ensure even distribution of the gel.

How long does Surgiderm last?

The expected results of the injection usually begin to show immediately after the administration of the filler. Hyaluronic acid works to instantly begin plumping and filling to give a more youthful look. The Results typically last for a period of 6 to 9 months. Your patient may wish to receive maintenance treatments prior to the complete degradation of the filler. This will ensure they have younger-looking and smoother skin all year long.

The results of Surgiderm are long-lasting due to the cross-linking process of the hyaluronic acid, which ensures durability.

Safety information
