Sometimes Beauty is More Than Skin Deep

Wrinkles may start out as fine lines, but over time your patient's skin will become deeply creased as well as saggy. This may happen with age, but it can also happen if your patient has had sudden weight loss from diet or illness. When your patient has severely wrinkled, sagging skin, no mere anti-aging skin cream will help them. You need to use a product that can penetrate deep into your patient's skin to fix their aging look from the inside out.
A regular dermal filler cannot tackle large hollows or deep wrinkles. Although you may inject more volume into the skin, the hyaluronic acid may not be stable enough to retain the proper shape and location under your patient's skin. Products like RESTYLANE® SUBQ™, on the other hand, were made specifically to treat areas with a large loss of volume. The larger hyaluronic acid particles in RESTYLANE® SUBQ™ are able to fill deep wrinkles and hollows yet remain stable within the patient's skin, lasting about six months to a year.
When you inject RESTYLANE® SUBQ™ into your patient's skin, a couple of things happen. First, the hyaluronic acid plumps up to about a thousand times its size as it attracts water, which stretches the skin to smooth out wrinkles and creases. In addition, though, adding volume to one area of your patient's face helps to lift their skin back into place. If your patient has had skin sagging around their jowls, it gets stretched and lifted up as you add volume to their cheeks. This gives your patient the effect of a "liquid facelift", getting the lifting and smoothing results of a facelift without having to go under the knife.
Products like RESTYLANE® SUBQ™ were developed for you to inject deep within your patient's skin, much deeper than the rough texture on the surface of their skin. This allows you to give your patient's face structure deep within their dermis, which in turn affects the skin on the surface of their face. To fix the problems you can see, you need to penetrate deep down to the subcutaneous level.
If you have patients who are wary of having surgery to correct their sags, hollows and wrinkles, RESTYLANE® SUBQ™ may be a good option for them. All surgery has the potential for complications, and your patient would also have to endure the recovery time as their face heals from its cuts and bruises. However, RESTYLANE® SUBQ™ involves simply injecting hyaluronic acid deep into your patient's dermis. There could be some bruising, swelling, or other minor side effects, but that will generally clear within a few days. Your patient could get almost an instant facelift as RESTYLANE® SUBQ™ fills their wrinkles and hollows and lifts their sags.
RESTYLANE® SUBQ™ is great for your patients who have gone beyond simple wrinkles and have moved on to deep creases and sagging skin. To help your most severe cases, be sure to keep some RESTYLANE® SUBQ™ on hand to give liquid facelifts to even the most mature and damaged skin.
