What are the benefits of this product?
Menopause can be a difficult stage of life for women, with various physiological and aesthetic changes occurring in the body. Desirial may provide relief to the symptoms of vaginal atrophy experienced by women going through menopause. This product is formulated with mannitol, an antioxidant that helps preserve the integrity of this hyaluronic acid gel for longer-lasting results.
How does this product work?
Vaginal rejuvenation therapy is a new procedure that is quickly gaining popularity, especially among perimenopausal and menopausal women. During this period, a massive hormonal shift takes place, impacting the vaginal area significantly. With this, a condition known as vaginal atrophy may take place, a result of dehydration of the vaginal cutaneous tissue. This may lead to the thinning of vaginal skin, a decrease in lubrication, and overall vaginal laxity. Desirial treats these symptoms by introducing hyaluronic acid, a substance that helps to retain moisture, into the vaginal skin tissue. This helps to ease the symptoms associated with vaginal dryness and has the added benefit of restoring the appearance of youth to the area.
What are the ingredients?
Desirial contains 19mg/ml of IPN-like cross-linked sodium hyaluronate.
How to inject/administer this product
This treatment is administered via injection into the mucosa of the vagina. This procedure should only be carried out by a trained member of the medical profession. Prior to the treatment, inform the patient of all indications, contraindications, precautions for use, and potential adverse effects of Desirial. For the comfort of the patient, it is highly recommended to administer a topical anesthetic or lidocaine injection before treatment.
Prepare the syringe for injection by attaching the needle to the Luer-lock tip of the syringe securely. Inject the product into either side of the longitudinal axis of the labia majora, labia minora, or either side of the entrance to the vagina, to a depth appropriate for the treatment type. Use the appropriate injection technique for each treatment area, such as linear retro-tracing techniques (fan or lattice), or the multipuncture technique. Inject slowly, and do not over-correct. After injection, massage the treated area gently to ensure that the product is distributed uniformly. The manufacturer recommends a control consultation in the days following the injection. For the complete set of instructions for use, refer to the product leaflet.
