To use ZO Retamax, apply 1–2 pumps of the solution to the fingertips and gently massage it into the skin. Cover the entire face and neck, but avoid the eyes. At first, the vitamin A cream will likely cause skin peeling, due to the exfoliating action. If your patients would like to make ZO Retamax less potent for sensitive skin, they can mix it with equal parts of ZO Ommerse Renewal Creme or ZO Restoracalm.

Your patients should start by using ZO Retamax twice a week before gradually increasing use as their skin builds tolerance. If they experience persisting skin irritation, they should reduce the frequency of use.

ZO Retamax is intended for the treatment of facial skin, although other areas may be treated as well. This cream is for external use only. Your patients should avoid getting this vitamin A emulsion in their eyes, but if they do, they should rinse them thoroughly with cool water.
