Dysport the new Botox ?
Dysport just like Botox is a botulism type A has been licensed in over 60 countries worldwide .It has been used effectively in the treatment of ophthalmologic and neurological disorders since the early 90’s. England started using it in cosmetic applications in 2009. In the USA Dysport recieved FDA approval on April 30-2009 . I think it may give Botox a run for it’s money .
Professionals having experience with both products found Dysport faster acting and giving a more natural effect.Because the Dysport “spreads” fewer injections are required than Botox ,and results may last longer. The devolpement of immunity to Dysport may be reduced compared to Botox. The cost may possibly be the greatest advantage, 100IU of Botox sells for around $400. while 500IU of Dysport sells for $450.
While each products has it’s advantages I see Dysport as a new tool added to the ongoing battle in maintaining wellbeing and youthfullness.
